  • 13th June 2008 - Royals Draw Daggers

  • Reading have been drawn away to League Two side Dagenham & Redbridge in the 1st Round of the Carling Cup. The tie is due to take place in the week commencing 11th August and will be the first time the two teams have ever met.

How to get there by Train/Tube:
Take the District Line to Dagenham East (and not Dagenham Heathway). Turn left as you come out of the station and the ground is clearly sign posted and only five minutes walk away. Please note that the journey by tube from Central London can take around 45 minutes. The tube journey out there can be a bit of a nightmare and it's probably better to get a train from Fenchurch St to Barking Station and then a tube to Dagenham from there. Oyster & Travelcards are valid for this journey.

The full draw for the Carling Cup First Round is:
    Preston North End v Chesterfield
    Chester City v Leeds United
    Leicester City v Stockport County
    Sheffield United v Port Vale
    Grimsby Town v Tranmere Rovers
